So you have the best possible swimming experience we use ultra violet light treatment as the main water cleanser. This significantly reduces our dependence on chemical water treatments and requires much lower levels of chlorine in the water.
There is ample changing with showers and locker facilities. For members who have accessibility needs our changing facilities are located close to poolside. A hoist to aid access to and from the water is also available. Fully qualified lifeguards supervise the pool at all times. The swimming pool timetable accommodates a variety of sessions enabling pupils and Members alike to make the best use of the pool.

Timetables are published regularly to reflect the different term time and holiday programmes. Members’ pool activities also include Aqua Aerobics. Adults only and Children’s Splash Time (during these sessions, swimming lanes will not be available).

Please note: for safety reasons, children under the age of eight MUST be accompanied in the water by an adult at a maximum ratio of two children to one adult.

Swimming Lessons

During the half terms and summer holidays we offer children intensive swimming courses. We have courses suitable for children of any ability level from non swimmer to advance level with many children going on to swim in the Clubs Academy. Charterhouse Club have taught hundreds of children and adults to successfully learn how to swim or have improved their technique through their swimming lessons at Charterhouse Club.

For adult members there is also Water Workshop which runs every Monday evening. This is a chance for adult swimmers to improve their technique and learn new ways of training in the pool. There is a small fee for this activity.

Personal Training in the Pool

For members who would like the benefit of personal training but prefer to workout in the pool, or need a form of exercise which has low impact on the joints, why not try personal training in the pool. Personal Training in the pool will allow you to develop your fitness and gain the most from your time in the pool.
Personal Trainers can be contacted through reception.

Splash Time in the Pool

Splash Time is designed specifically for children and families to enjoy the freedom of the whole pool together with the use of floats and mats. Parents are welcome to join in these sessions but should be aware that lane swimming is not available during these times. The programming of Splash Times in the Swimming Pool timetable may vary from term to term but additional sessions are allocated during the holiday periods. New timetables are available at the beginning of each term and holiday period.
